UAE Travel Guide
The United Arab Emirates is recognized around the world as a country with a few world-class tourist destinations. The country showcases the tallest tower in the world, one of the most exquisite mosques in the capital, and, of course, some of the finest beaches in the Middle East. Below are some of the best tourist destinations worth a visit when in the UAE.
The Burj Khalifa is built with a combination of rock-hard science and quixotic ideals. With more than 160 stories and over 2,716.5 feet (828 meters), this tourist destination holds the following records:
- – Tallest service elevator in the world
- – Elevator with the longest travel distance in the world
- – Highest outdoor observation deck in the world
- – Highest occupied floor in the world
- – Highest number of stories in the world
- – Tallest free-standing structure in the world
- – Tallest building in the world
The central core of the tower emerges at the top and presented in a sculpted spire. A Y-shaped floor plan widens the viewer’s scene of the Arabian Gulf. Viewed from the base or the air, the tower creates a thought or memory of the onion domes customarily found in Islamic architecture.
Burj Khalifa’s architecture presents a 3-lobed footprint, an abstraction of the Hymenocallis flower. The tower is composed of 3 elements arranged around its central core. The modular, Y-shaped structure, with setbacks among its 3 wings offers an inherently stable configuration for the structure and provides good floor plates for residential.
Furthermore, there are about 1,000 pieces of art from prominent Middle Eastern and international artists beautify this tower. The pieces were selected as a means of linking cultures and communities, symbolic of Burj Khalifa, being an international collaboration.
The Top Burj Khalifa SKY has a Guest Ambassador to guide you through a personalized tour. In this area, you can step out into the world’s highest observation deck. It has a 555-meter outdoor terrace where you can refresh yourself with signature refreshments. At SKY lounge, you can see Dubai’s most famous landmarks using motion senses.
Burj Khalifa will definitely get you thrilled by its fast double-deck elevators, cruising at 10 m/s. This place has high-powered avant-garde telescopes so you can take a closer look at the world below. You can also check out the public outdoor observation terrace that’s overlooking the growing skyline.
If you want a spectacular 360-degree view, Level 125 of the Burj Khalifa offers a spacious deck that allows you to explore Dubai. Additionally, this place has an exceptional gym, The Burj Club, where you can take fitness sessions with beautiful views of the fountains.
The Burj Club gym offers fitness sessions which are aided by professional supervision, possesses state-of-the-art equipment and gives you a magnificent view of the fountains. You can choose from a stylish outdoors under the crisp sun or a semi-olympic size indoor lap pool. The chic venue lets you experience a Miami-meets-Manhattan vibe with plush sun beds overlooking Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain.
Apart from the exceptional gym, the tower also has a superb spa which is specially formulated to suit all skin types. The spa also offers a 30-min facial which combines anti-aging and deep cleaning properties, for refresh and hydrated skin. The luxury Comfort Zone products aid in neutralizing free radicals, protecting your skin against harmful environmental factors.

The Palm Islands
The Palm Islands is composed of the Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Jumeirah. The main reason for building The Palm Islands was to employ and upsurge the thriving tourism in Dubai by offering tourists world class diving sites, cinema multiplexes, shopping malls, residential villas, water parks, marinas, health centers, and entertainment centers.
According to Visit Dubai, Palm Jumeirah is home to some of Dubai’s most luxurious resorts, including Atlantis The Palm, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, the One&Only The Palm and many more. It is also packed with fantastic dining options worth visiting, such as Nobu and 101 Dining Lounge even if you’re not staying at one of the many resorts.
The Palm Jumeirah is the most recognized among the two. It is pertinently shaped like a palm tree and surrounded by approximately 7-mile long island. The area is structured to have 17 fronds and a trunk. The Palm Jumeirah can be accessed by travelers from the center of Dubai through a monorail. An underwater tunnel then connects the fronds to the crescent for easier access.
On the other hand, the Palm Jebel Ali began in 2002 but was put to a halt because of the 2008 financial crisis. As soon as it’s complete, the area will include homes built on stilts, extensive boardwalks shaped into the words of a poem written by Sheikh Mohammed, 6 marinas, villas, and a water park. It will also feature entertainment attractions such as Discovery Cove, Busch Gardens, Aquatica, and SeaWorld.
Sailing around Palm Jumeirah in a yacht or speedboat is also a popular option, with many private touring companies to choose from. If you’re fond of skydiving excursions, the Palm Islands allows you to free-fall over it at 120 mph while admiring its handiwork.
For a relaxing or worthwhile evening, check out Club Vista Mare – a series of 7 restaurants constructed on a pier that spreads out over the water.
Some of these restaurant options include Japanese-Peruvian fusion at Aji and fresh seafood with an Arabic twist at Ibn AlBahr. Both of these exquisite restaurants offer beautiful views of the Arabian Gulf, Dubai’s city skyline and the majestic Burj Al Arab.
